Hi i’m Gill
I am a newly qualified yoga teacher completing my 250 hours Ayuredic yoga and natural therapy including children’s yoga in October 2024.
I am a qualified children’s nurse and have worked in many different areas of this discipline. My roles have been hugely rewarding but also fast paced stressful and emotive.

Why Yoga
I have practiced yoga for over 20 years and experimented with different styles including ashtanga, hatha, vinyasa flow, aerial and kundalini yoga. But I often thought of yoga as exercise and if I wasn’t breaking a sweat or twisting myself into allsorts of postures it was not worth it.
Like a lot of people, experiencing the covid lock down whilst working within the NHS was a difficult time. I also reached a milestone birthday and I began to reflect and reassess my life and this led me to explore in more depth the healing aspects of yoga.
I had experienced a high amount of stress so I began to use practices such as breath work, meditation and movement to calm my nervous system, what I noticed was this gave me more clarity, I could focus, had more energy and slept better. Incorporating yoga into my daly life has brought me balance, calm and restoration.
Life always brings us many challenges, highs, lows and everything in between. I find being able to come to my mat to breathe and move helps me navigate whatever I am facing.
I want to share these practices so others can experience calm, balance and navigate their life changes with strength and self compassion. Thus building a community that is happy, healthy and kind.

I teach flow yoga
In simple terms this is a series of postures put together in a flow sequence.
Linking the postures together with the breath and practicing to gentle music which helps to create a flow that is both nourishing and energising for the body and mind.
My classes are inclusive, non judgemental and aimed for all levels. I strongly believe yoga is for everybody and every body.
If you are looking for a class that can help you create a personal connection to inner peace and one that offers a path to reduce inflammation, emotional and/or physical pain/discomfort and connect more deeply with yourself and the people around you this is the class for you!
